¡Hola chicas! ¿cómo han estado? Les cuento que la semana pasada estuvo completamente full para mí y por eso es que no pude postear nada, pero ahora que ya me ordené un poco con mis horarios me van a ver mucho rato por acá ;)
Dicho todo eso, vamos al punto de este post. Las Birkenstock. Quizás unas de las sandalias más feas que he visto en mi vida, pero, al parecer, deben ser tan increíblemente cómodas que en solo unos años han regresado del pasado y sus orígenes alemanes para convertirse en una tendencia seguida por miles de fashionistas en el mundo.
El fenómeno de las Birks pegó tanto que incluso algunas de las casas de moda más grandes intentaron hacer su propia versión de estas sandalias. Miu Miu, Giambattista Valli, Givenchy, Marni y Céline fueron solo unas cuantas de las que se unieron a la moda Birkenstock.
Ya hace un tiempo que venía viendo a fashionistas usando sus Birks en New York o Paris y pensé que esta tendencia tardaría en llegar al Perú, sin embargo, ayer me di una vuelta por Zara y ¡oh, sorpresa!, Birks en diferentes formas, tamaños y colores por todos lados. La pregunta ahora es ¿llegarán a pegar como pegaron en el extranjero?
No digo que me gusten, es más, me parecen súper feas y toscas, pero siento una especie de amor/odio por estas sandalias. No vendría mal probarlas en algunos looks y ver qué tan cómodas son. Solo por curiosidad.
¿A ustedes qué les parece? Estas sandalias han causado miles de controversias por la industria de la moda pero solo quiero saber...¿las usarían?

Will the Birks invade us this season?
Hey girls! How you've been? Last week has been really busy for me and that's why I couldn't post anything so, I decided to organise my schedule and now you would see me around here more often.
The whole point of this post was to talk about the Birkenstocks. Some of the ugliest shoes I've ever seen, but, perhaps, they're also some of the most comfortable shoes ever invented. In just a few years they've made their comeback from their german origins just to install themselves into the centre of the fashion industry and the closets of many fashionistas around the world.
The Birk's phenomenon hit the the industry so hard that some of the most important maisons decided to create their own version of Birkenstocks. The result? Different pairs of sandals by Miu Miu, Giambattista Valli, Givenchy, Marni and Céline, among others.
It's been a while since I first saw a fashionista wearing a pair of Birks in New York or Paris. I thought this trend was going to take some time before it finally hit the peruvian market. I was wrong. Yesterday I was at Zara and...what a surprise! Birks everywhere. Every shape, size and colour. So the question is now: will they be so successful as they were abroad?
I'm not saying I like them, I consider them really unflattering but I feel some kind of love/hate for those shoes. It wouldn't be such a bad idea to wear them in a pair of looks. Just to see how comfortable they are.
